Searching Container Number Details

This page allows you to search and view the container number details of the import manifest in the SaudiEDI application.

 

To search the container number details

1.      Open the Container Number page. (SAUDIEDI>> Manifest>> ECL >> Container Number)

2.      Enter information in the Document Ref. No. field.    

3.      Click Continue button. The Manifest ECL Container Number page is displayed.

4.      Enter the Existing Container Number and the New Container Number the Document Ref. No. field.    

5.      Click Save button. The Save dialogue box is displayed.

6.      Click Ok. The "Manifest ECL saved successfully" message is displayed.

7.      Enter information in the Container Number Correction fields.
 

Field Description

Existing Container Number

Enter the existing container number relevant to the manifest.

New Container Number

Enter the new container number relevant to the manifest.

 

 

 

Validation Rules for Bill Item

1.      Container sequence number must be empty (i.e. item cannot be in a container) if
      B/L shipment type is:

·         4 – No container,

·         6 – Vehicles

·         9 – Direct discharge shipment

2.      Container sequence number is mandatory if B/L shipment type is:

·         1 – FCL

·         2 – LCL

·         3 – PCL

·         5 – Many containers shared among different B/L

·         8 – Empty container

3.      Note: Container sequence number is optional if B/L shipment type is ‘7 – One B/L
      containers one or more containers in addition to some outside packages’.

4.      If container sequence number is present, it must be a valid sequence number
      from the container segment.

5.      If B/L shipment type is ‘3 – PCL’, all items must be in a single container i.e. all
      items must have the same container sequence number.

6.      Number of packages must be 1 and package type must be ‘UNT’ for bulky cargo
      i.e. goods type is:

·          1 = Car

·         2 = Trailer

·         3 = Crane

·         4 = Boat

·         6 = Rocky Bulk

·         7 = Motorcycle

·         11 = Empty Container

7.      Package type must be in the list defined in the message specification.

8.      If STC Number is entered, STC UOM is mandatory.

9.      If STC UOM is present, must be in the list specified in the message specifications.

10.   Customs goods type must be in the list defined in the message specification.

11.   PA tariff code must be in the list defined in the message specification.

12.   Mapping between Customs goods type and PA tariff codes:

13.   Storage location must be in the list specified in the message specifications.

14.   Storage location validations (Generally, if B/L storage location is declared as a
     complete type, item and container storage location must be the same as the B/L
     storage location):

·         If B/L storage location = 0 (Cargo Area)

·         Item storage location = 0

·         If container is present, container storage location = 0

·         If B/L storage location = 1 (Bonded Area – completely)

·         Item storage location = 1

·         If container is present, container storage location = 1

·         If B/L storage location = 3 (Transshipment – completely)

·         Item storage location = 3

·         If container is present, container storage location = 3

·         If B/L storage location = 4 (Transit)

·          Item storage location = 4

·         If container is present, container storage location = 4

15.    Dangerous code must be in the list specified in the message specifications.

16.   If Dangerous Code = 2, IMDG code is mandatory.

17.   Cross check between customs goods type and BL shipment type:

·         BL shipment type must be “6 – vehicle”, if goods type is:

·         1 – Car

·         2 – Trailer

·         3 – Crane

·         4 – Boat

·         7 – Motorcycle

·         BL shipment type must be ‘9 – Direct discharge shipment’ if goods type is
     ‘8 – Direct Delivery’.

·          BL shipment type must be ‘8 – Empty Containers’ if goods type is ’11 –
      Empty Containers’.

18.   If goods type is ‘9 – Frozen’, container type must be a reefer type.

19.   f goods type is ‘11 – Empty Containers’, item gross weight must be = container
      tare weight.

20.   Number of packages cannot be 0.

21.   If number of packet is not 0, package type cannot be null.

22.   Package Type must contain the values defined in table below.

23.   If goods type is Car, Trailer, Crane, Boat, Rocky Bulk, Motorcycle or Empty
      Container; number of packages must be 1

24.   If goods type is Car, Trailer, Crane, Boat, Rocky Bulk, Motorcycle or Empty
      container; number of packages must be 1 and package type must be 'UNT'

25.   If goods type is Car, Trailer, Crane, Boat or Motorcycle; BL shipment type must
      be 6

26.   If container sequence no exist, check that the item is referencing a valid
      container record

27.   If goods type is 9, container must be either REEFER or ALUMREEFER

28.   If container sequence AND container is not exist AND if goods type = Empty
      Container.
