The Electronic Correction Letter (ECL) is a request by the Shipping Agent to the Saudi Customs Department to amend information in the electronic manifest and BL(s) which has been previously filed. Upon acceptance of the ECL, the manifest and BL(s) will be automatically amended and a notification will be sent to the Shipping Agent.
A manifest must be in a WAITING, or RECEIVED status and BL(s) must be in ACCEPTED status before an ECL can be created and sent.
To add ECL container details
1. Search for the manifest record to be amended as described “Searching Export Manifest Details'.
2. Click on the “Document Reference No.” link to retrieve the record as described “Searching Export Manifest Details'.
3. Click Correction button, the following screen is displayed.
